SEE A GREENER WORLD
Ami_CA is promoted by 2050 TO PEOPLE, a nonprofit association created to spread awareness and develop projects that focus on environmental and social sustainability to promote the important goals set by the Green Deal which go hand in hand with the 17 SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals).
Through the use of art and creativity in open air urban spaces, 2050 TO PEOPLE organizes engaging large-scale outreach events to promote sustainability encouraging individuals to take action in their communities. Such outreach events can lead to the promotion of sustainable practices that, in turn, help build a more sustainable future for us all.
EARTH, HEART, ART
Art and creativity have a unique ability to speak directly to people’s hearts on an emotional level and inspire them to take action.
2050 TO PEOPLE bring together artists and performers to create engaging artistic itineraries, exhibitions and performances related to sustainability in order to raise awareness and promote positive change.
The conscious use of art and creativity in the open spaces of the city of Cagliari will be the backdrop for a series of events, seminars and art installations that will take place during the European Sustainable Mobility Week (16-22 September 2023).

SITE SPECIFIC ART INSTALLATIONS

Tensile structures are geometric constructions that connect different elements together by tension.
Bruno Munari built several by connecting branches of plants so that they do not touch each other.
The American sculptor K. Snelson reproduced its basic scheme with stainless steel tubes like the sculpture made for Cagliari.
The sculpture is an ode to human ingenuity. The construction technique used conveys the principle that strength does not depend on weight.

The Sea Gate is inspired by the linear forms of designer Ron Gilad. The work aims to convey the evocative image of an open door, positioned so as to skim the surface of the sea. The sculpture invites the viewer to enter another living space, the sea, while respecting our environment.
Artists: Romeo Pinna, Paola Falconi, Enrica Badas, Francesca Sorrentino, Alberto Masala, Carlo Antonio Borghi & Aldo Tanchis
The use of bicycle and wheelchair wheels as a backdrop for artwork sheds new light on the importance of the wheel, no longer seen as a mere means of transportation but as a vehicle for the power of imagination.
The multitude of colors spinning like a kaleidoscope, recalling the life cycle of flowers, celebrates the silent power of Nature and invites reflection.
Artist: Davide Volponi
Through Street Art, the artist engages students and adults with disabilities through the creation of a work of art that is the result of collective collaboration inviting us to share the benefits of social inclusion. Through symbols, words, images and signs a diverse and close-knit group of artists offers us a reflection on the need for collective action for a more sustainable world.

The work represents the constellations of the zodiac made of floating hemispheres connected together and covered with photoluminescent paint. Lit at night, they reflect the starry sky on the surface of the sea. We look at the water and see the sky.
Artist: Alessandro Serri
In 1993, ornithologist Helmar Schenk was the first to officially document flamingo nesting in Cagliari. Now flamingos are an integral part of Cagliari’s lagoon landscape and have earned the affectionate nickname of Sa genti arrubia, the red people. They have elected Cagliari as their home and we have chosen them as the bearers of a message.
Representing them in a transparent and delicate way, with a silhouette made of pink painted wire, suggests to the viewer that they are like them, light and shy guests of the environment.
Artist: Romeo Pinna
This Land Art installation is a geometric design made on land with soil conditioners such as fertilizers, drainage sand and posidonia algae. The natural absorption of the composition disperses the natural substances into the soil, renewing their life cycle.
The oriental mandala in its circular form is a depiction of the inner universe. Its construction is a reflection on the world and the environment.
Artist: Josto Mura
Learning through play. This abacus-inspired urban architecture game encourages people to once again ask the most pressing question on climate change. “How long do we have to save the planet?” We learn from children because they are closest to the principle of life and because the world will one day be handed over to them. Adults playing with children will help them to focus on a reccurant theme that is on everyone’s mind.

SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS FOR CAGLIARI
2050 TO PEOPLE collaborates with Anffas Onlus Sardegna Association, a member of the national association network Anffas since 1958. The mission of Anfass since 1958 has been to protect the rights of people and promote respect for human rights in general and the full inclusion of each and every person in society. In carrying out its advocacy role, the association works: to protect and expand the rights of people with disabilities and those who represent them; to create the conditions for universally recognized rights to be implemented not only judicially, but to be created and promoted within the mental landscape of people and institutions; to improve the living conditions not only of people with disabilities but of all citizens for the benefit of society as a whole.
The goal is E-ducation. The concept is Sustainable Cities and Communities and promoting a greater awareness of the importance of sustainable mobility and electrification in the transportation sector starting with the development of knowledge in the new generations. It is hoped that citizens will begin to view sustainability and sustainable mobility as an ethical and responsible choice in favor of the environment that will inevitably promote healthier living.
Climate change, along with biodiversity loss, poses one of the greatest challenges facing our world. Concrete actions are needed to counteract the effects of climate change in order to ensure a healthier, more sustainable future for ourselves and future generations. Our communities can help fight climate change. How? Walk, bike or use public transportation as often as we can.
The vast body of water in our seas and oceans constitutes the largest ecosystem on our planet; 71% of the planet’s surface and 97% of its water. It is a system that helps regulate the climate, provides about half of the oxygen needed for life and absorbs more than a quarter of the carbon dioxide. How can we protect our oceans and seas and conserve aquatic resources and marine biodiversity?
Cagliari's goal is to raise awareness among its citizens to care for the environment with the core concept of fully promoting sustainability in all of its positive forms. It is precisely with this in mind that Cagliari is once again taking the field to run for European Green Capital 2025. The capital city is participating with the support and coordination of the Metropolitan City. The award, established by the European Commission is to recognise and reward European cities for their efforts and dedication to improving the quality of life for residents, and tackling the triple crisis of climate change, pollution and biodiversity loss.
The "Green Electrification of Sardinia" project, included in the Multi-Stakeholders Energy Compact of the United Nations is considered as a model for the deployment of electrification and energy transition globally. The project plans to achieve a number of goals by 2030, in particular transitioning from fossil fuel energy production to renewable energy, mainly photovoltaic and wind power (SDG 7). The project will create new jobs offsetting the closure of coal plants and reduce energy expenses by 50% for families and 20% for industries, and increase electrification of demand.
