In collaboration with the European Parliament and with the patronage of the European Commission, the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Navy, the Port System Authority of the Sea of Sardinia, the Autonomous Region of Sardinia and the Municipality of Cagliari, Anffas, FIABA and many more, 2050 To People, a nonprofit organization, created and presented an open air art exhibition focusing on environmental and social sustainability. Cagliari (CA), the Sardinian capital, was the city chosen for the first edition of the project in collaboration with and entitled Ami_CA.

The itinerant open air exhibit, on land and by sea, was along the Su Siccu bike path overlooking the sea. The exhibit began at the Ichnusa Pier in front of the Luna Rossa Hub and ended at the recently restored Pier Luigi Nervi Salt Pavilion.

To emphasize the purpose of the exhibition, the project included a full calendar of events, seminars and performances related to sustainability issues with a focus on the environment, mobility and social inclusion.

Ami_CA is the positive confirmation of the successful collaboration between the public and private sector in a project aimed at promoting sustainability and social inclusion within the community at large.

2022 Project

Strade Future, a public art project by Ar2gether, registered as an event of the European Mobility Week 2022, transformed two areas of Rome under the banner of ecology and mobility.

Thanks to Strade Future, conceived by Ar2gether with the artists  the collective Sbagliato, the areas between the pillars of Pier Luigi Nervi’s Viaduct at the entrance of the Auditorium Parco della Musica di Ennio Morricone and the embankments of the Tiber River under Castel Sant’Angelo were redeveloped with artistic urban seating, green turf, photocatalytic paint that purifies the air, urban art interventions and bike lanes that light up at night.

This project, the first by Ar2gether, a nonprofit association, was among the finalists for the Mobility Action Prize 2023. The MOBILITY ACTION PRIZE was launched by the European Commission in 2022 to reward excellence in mobility management. The award seeks to showcase mobility actions, which are sustainable mobility solutions submitted by civil society organizations, businesses, educational institutions, citizen initiatives and municipalities throughout the year.

From this initial project, the nonprofit organization, 2050 To People was born with a new vision where sustainability is the driver for a better world. Our motivation is for the whole community to belong, part and parcel, in a changed inclusive society.

We productively promote concrete actions, all aimed at the interaction of the entire community: citizens, the public and private sectors, and academic institutions.

2050 To People believes that through the arts, and engaging informative events, each one of us will better understand the need to work together to further the implementation of the SDGs in our daily lives.
